The Demi-God Malleum, a sister of Tzeentch and Slaanesh, has haunted the galaxy as long as Eldar can recall. Although a lesser power, Malleum has touched nearly every mind in the galaxy in some way. Haunting the dreamworld of every sentient species, this being draws power from nightmares and night terrors. She revels in the world of shadows, terror, and the unknown. And the greatest servant of Malleum is The Beast of Dreams. T
his great daemon took a particular interest in haunting the craftworld of Iybraesil a few short centuries ago. The beast stalked the wraith bone city, a true living nightmare that plagued the Eldar for a generation before Farseer Alnith finally cornered the beast and slew it with his ornate sword. The beast dissolved into a dark mist and then filtered into the blade itself. Alnith immediately recognized the danger of his new daemonic weapon and cast the thing aside.
All was well until a major Stryxis raid threatened the sanctity of the craftworld. Alnith secretly desired to wield the power of a daemon sword, and this battle helped him to rationalize the foolish action. With the power of the daemon Alnith slaughtered scores of Stryxis, but weakened by fight with alien and daemon, he succumbed possession. The seer council had foreseen this conclusion and immediately used a spirit stone to capture and confine the souls of Alnith and the Beast to a labyrinth within the craftworld. This stone was deposited upon a dead world far from civilized space. A tomb for the fallen Farseer was built on top of the repository as a warning to all those who would dare to unleash the daemon once again.
